Start Your POAWhat is a special power of attorney?
A legal document that lets someone you trust do one specific job for you, such as selling your car. It covers that job and nothing else.
What is the difference between a special and a general power of attorney?
A special power of attorney is for one specific job. A general power of attorney covers your everyday affairs, such as bills, government paperwork, visas and everyday banking.
Can one order cover two jobs?
Yes. Each job is its own document. You pay the higher fee once, then AED 100 for each extra document.
How long is it valid?
For a sale or purchase you can choose until the transaction is complete, which counts as one year for the notary fee. Otherwise you choose one year, two years or longer. The notary fee is about AED 100 for each year.
Can I arrange it while I am outside the UAE?
Often, yes. Depending on your situation, you may be able to sign through a remote UAE notary. If that route is not available, we guide you through the embassy or overseas signing steps before anything is signed.
Will the authority accept it?
No document is guaranteed to work with every authority. We check what the intended recipient currently requires before preparing your POA. The recipient still makes the final decision.
