Common questions
How much are notary fees?
Notary and authority fees are paid directly to the authority, separately from Blanket’s preparation fee. ADJD’s usual published basis is AED 100 per year of POA validity. The selected authority and confirmed case fees determine what applies; this is not a guaranteed total for every route.
Can I arrange a POA while I am outside the UAE?
Often, yes. Depending on your situation, you may be eligible to sign through a remote UAE notary. If that route is not available, we guide you through the suitable embassy or overseas signing steps before anything is signed.
Can I speak with the team before choosing?
Yes. Book a free assessment to explain your situation and get clear on next steps. The same assignment costs the same whether you start online or through a call: AED 199, AED 299 or AED 399. We explain your applicable price once the assignment is understood. The assessment is free whichever option you choose. Bespoke work is quoted separately before payment. Notary and other external fees are separate.
Will my bank or authority accept it?
No document is guaranteed to work with every bank or authority. That is why we check the intended recipient’s current requirements, agree the exact powers and identify the suitable route before preparing your POA. The recipient still makes the final acceptance decision.
What does the preparation fee include?
It includes POA preparation, expert review, delivery in your Blanket conversation and our help through notarisation. Translation, including certified translation, is included when required for your route. Our assistance is included in your preparation fee. Any fees charged by the notary, registry or receiving authority, including legalisation fees, are paid separately.
Can I choose what it covers?
Yes. Tell us in chat what you need someone to handle. We help you define the powers and scope before payment. Our team reviews the draft, and you can request changes in the same conversation before agreeing to it.
Do I need a power of attorney if I have a will?
They do different jobs. A power of attorney lets someone act for you during your lifetime while you have legal capacity, often when you are abroad or cannot attend in person. A will deals with your estate after death. Depending on your situation, you may need one or both.
Can it be cancelled later?
A power of attorney can generally be revoked. The steps depend on how it was notarised and which organisations rely on it, so we confirm the process for your route.
Do my partner and I each need our own?
Each principal needs their own power of attorney. If you both want one, the fee is the sum of each POA’s assignment price. Two property POAs are AED 598; a vehicle POA and a property POA are AED 498. Mixed powers within one POA use the highest applicable bracket once.
